Scalp Micro-pigmenation (FAQ)

What SMP Is (and isn’t)

“Scalp Micro-pigmentation is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that replicates natural hair follicles using medical-grade pigment. It doesn’t restore hair or stop hair loss it creates the appearance of density or a shaved look.”

Results & Subjectivity

“Results are cosmetic and subjective. Most clients are very happy, but how someone feels about an aesthetic outcome is personal and can’t be guaranteed.”

Sessions & Longevity

“SMP is built gradually over two to three sessions. Typically lasts 2-4 years, over time the pigment will soften and fade with optional refresher sessions to maintain colour and sharpness. Longevity varies from person to person.”

Sterile working conditions:

Strict sterile application and conditions are adhered to at all times.

Aftercare Responsibility

“Your final result depends heavily on aftercare. Sun exposure, sweating and skincare all affect how the pigment settles.” Detailed after care instructions will be provided.

Scar-Specific (only if applicable)

“Scar tissue behaves differently from normal skin. Pigment can take unevenly and sometimes needs extra sessions. The goal is improvement, not complete erasure of the scar.”People prone to keloid scarring should avoid Scalp micro-pigmentation and Micro-needling.

Refunds

“Because this is a personalised cosmetic service, once treatment has started it’s non-refundable, unless it’s proven that I didn’t perform the service with reasonable care and skill.”

Voluntary Consent

“If you’re comfortable with everything we’ve discussed, you’re welcome to proceed. There’s no pressure - this is entirely your decision.”
